Polyamory is the consensual and simultaneous engagement of multiple loves.  In contrast to the human practice of forming serial pair bonds, polyamorists have generated a social-cultural practice that honors and maintains home relationships while openly pursuing eros however and wherever it appears.  While the majority of poly people live in “open couples” many endeavor to generate triads, expanded families and intimate networks.  My own participation (both as a practitioner and a researcher) has been extensive.  I detailed my explorations of polyamory between 1998-2001 in a series of articles published in both polyamory and academic journals, conducted a major research study on jealousy and transformation in polyamorous relationships in 2002-3 and beginning in 2005 have been featured as a keynote speaker at a number poly conferences and have offered a series of workshops  as well as individually tailored  private sessions.
